Sydney Sweeney Transforms in The Housemaid Using She’s All That Method

Sydney Sweeney has unveiled a new look for her role in the psychological thriller, The Housemaid. It appears that the glam team employed a transformation reminiscent of the iconic “She’s All That” makeover scene.

The 27-year-old actress morphs into her seemingly unassuming maid character, Millie Calloway, with subtle changes, as showcased in the newly released trailer that premiered on September 16. The trailer highlights the intricate relationship between Millie and her wealthy employer, played by Amanda Seyfried.

The clip begins with Millie arriving at Nina’s residence, showcasing a fresh-faced, makeup-free look complemented by glasses and wavy hair.

As the trailer progresses, Sweeney embarks on her transformation, starting by removing her glasses—a moment that draws parallels to when Zach Siler (Freddie Prinze Jr.) takes off Laney Boggs’ (Rachael Leigh Cook) eyewear in She’s All That to reveal her hidden beauty, a scene that went viral for its impactful revelation.

She also showcases a striking makeup look featuring dewy foundation, defined eyebrows, bronzy eyeshadow, long lashes, rosy cheeks, and pink lips. Her outfit consists of a white textured top with a plunging strapless neckline and pearl buttons.

Other notable movie transformations include The Princess Diaries, where Mia Thermopolis (Anne Hathaway) transforms by removing her glasses, styling her frizzy hair, and applying makeup.

Furthermore, in The Summer I Turned Pretty, Belly Conklin (Lola Tung) experiences her glow-up by taking off her glasses and getting rid of her braces, garnering attention from her friends, Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher.

Sandy Olsson (Olivia Newton-John) also undergoes a significant change in Grease, shedding her skirts and soft makeup for a bold new look. Her edgy makeover includes smokey eyeshadow, voluminous curls, skin-tight leather pants, and an off-the-shoulder top, undoubtedly making Danny Zuko (John Travolta) swoon.
